This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Just in time for Halloween! This was inspired while watching Frank Langella's Dracula and it took me over half that movie plus Sleepy Hollow and The Haunted Mansion to finish. Moral of the story: don't leave me alone with a pen and paper.
Isn't it weird how many film and TV versions of Dracula there are, and how very few (if any) actually are a close adaptation of the book? They always change something in the plot. Nosferatu, Bram Stoker's Dracula, the one with Frank Langella, the one with Marc Warren, I could go on. And why does the Count always lose when we feel no sympathy for those trying to destroy him? It can get so depressing.
But accuracy aside, which is the best? As it is a matter of opinion, and my own opinion is the most important (to me), I think the best version of Dracula is the musical Dracula: Entre l'Amour et la Mort. It doesn't keep to the book's plot at all (and yet it does... kind of... if you squint and turn upside-down), but I think that's what makes it so awesome... plus the songs... and Bruno Pelletier as Dracula in that hot, brown leather costume helps. But my five (and a half) main reasons why it's my top favourite are: 1. I actually don't know who I want to win the girl. I love Dracula, but this Jonathon really holds his own. I know! It's so weird. 1.5. I really like the way it does the whole 'Dracula is searching for that one lost love' thing. 2. It has a touch of a post-apocalyptic feel, and explores morals and to some degree politics without getting preachy about it (*cough*IntotheWoods*cough*). 3. Incredible set, even more incredible costumes, and wow-your-socks-off lighting and effects. 4. Talented cast that already have careers as recording artists. 5. It's in French.
The one problem is there are no subtitles. And the lyrics are available for only a handful of songs. My French isn't bad... but it's not that good. I can only understand 45% of the lyrics, but 95% of the plot. If there were just French subtitles I could bump that 45 up to 85, but alas.
If I had to pick an English Dracula I'm going to go with Frank Langella's Dracula. He's sexy, and the sets and costumes were designed by Edward Gorey. And the ending is better than most. If you've seen it, you probably know why.
